GENERAL MATH

All the general level math courses are delivered using Pearson textbooks ; Prealgebra and Introductory Algebra (3rd Edition) 3rd Edition, by Marvin L. Bittinger, David J. Ellenbogen , Judith A. Beecher , Barbara L. Johnson and an online learning management system MyMathLab. This interactive educational system combines classroom tutorials, online homework and assessments to create a personalized learner centered experience. Students are evaluated through a combination of progress tests plus a final examination.


Elementary math : The syllabus of this level is :

  1. Whole Numbers

  2. Introduction to Integers and Algebraic Expressions

  3. Fraction Notation: Multiplication and Division

  4. Fraction Notation: Addition, Subtraction, and Mixed Numerals

  5. Decimal Notation


Pre-intermediate math : The syllabus of this level is :

  1. Algebra

  2. Percent Notation

  3. Data, Graphs, and Statistics

  4. Measurements

  5. Decimal Notation


Intermediate math : The syllabus of this level is :

  1. Geometry

  2. Introduction to Real Numbers and Algebraic Expressions

  3. Solving Equations and Inequalities

  4. Graphs of Linear Equations

  5. The Distance Formula and Midpoints


Upper intermediate math : The syllabus of this level is :

  1. Polynomials Operations

  2. Polynomials Factoring

  3. Rational Expressions and Equations

  4. Right Triangle Trigonometry


TECHNICAL MATH

This course is divided into two parts Part-I and Part-II.

Part-I has the same syllabus for all the majors but in part-II of this course students are divided into different classes according to their major as shown below:


Technical math ( Part-I): This course is delivered using Pearson textbook “Prealgebra and Introductory Algebra (3rd Edition) 3rd Edition”, by Marvin L. Bittinger, David J. Ellenbogen , Judith A. Beecher , Barbara L. Johnson and an online learning management system MyMathLab. This interactive educational system combines classroom tutorials, online homework and assessments to create a personalized learner entered experience. The syllabus of this part is:

  1. Systems of Equations

  2. Radical Expressions and Equations

  3. Quadratic Equations

  4. Higher Roots and Rational Numbers as Exponents

  5. Scientific notation and Evaluation


Technical math Part-II (Engineers): This course is specially designed for students aspiring to major in Aviation engineering. This part is delivered using in-house preparation books. Special attention has been given to include the topics tested for EASA exam. Students are evaluated through a combination of progress tests plus a final summative assessment. The syllabus of this part is:


  1. Measurements

  2. Angles and Triangles

  3. Plane and Solid Geometry

  4. Ratio, Proportion and Percentages

  5. Trigonometry

  6. Number Systems

  7. Logarithms


Technical math part-II (Pilots): This course is specially designed for students aspiring to major in the Pilot training division. The course is delivered using in-house preparation books. Students are encouraged to develop critical and mental abilities which might be further necessary in their major. The part prepares students to successfully study in the Pilot training division. Students are evaluated through a combination of progress tests plus a final summative assessment. The syllabus of this part is:


  1. Measurements

  2. Angles and Triangles

  3. Plane and Solid Geometry

  4. Algebra

  5. Ratio, Proportion and Percentages

  6. Trigonometry

  7. Speed , Distance, Time


Technical math part II (AOM): This course is specifically designed for students aspiring to major in Airport Operations management. The part is delivered using in-house preparation books. Students are encouraged to develop critical and mental abilities which might be necessary in their major. Students are evaluated through a combination of progress tests plus a final summative assessment. The syllabus of this part is:


  1. Measurements

  2. Angles and Triangles

  3. Plane and Solid Geometry

  4. Algebra

  5. Ratio, Proportion and Percentages

  6. Trigonometry

  7. Number Systems

  8. Logarithms
